We have been seeing marble absolutely everywhere these days and we have completely jumped onto that bandwagon. Marble has been a perfect addition of texture into our other favourite 2017 trends including simple white elegance and greenery. Looking to incorporate marble into your next tablescape? We’ve put together a few ideas for ways to incorporate it!
These have been unbelievably popular since they entered our rental inventory earlier this year. These faux marble charger plates are flat which creates a modern look when on your table.
New to the Gathered rental inventory are these fantastic marble and wood cake stands. These add the perfect small touch of marble to your event!
Our marble votives take marble in a bit of a different direction by deviating from the classic white and grey that we have been seeing everywhere. These are the perfect addition to something like our marble charger plates as they add a level of depth to your table design.
Recently we have been seeing marble being incorporated into events through stationery! We are obsessed with the way Pink Umbrella has been doing this in these beautiful designs.
Another fantastic way we have seen this trend come to life is through cake artistry. We've seen this done a few ways here are a couple of examples from two fabulous local Calgary vendors. Handmade Cake Company nailed the marble with this simple white, blue marble, and gold detailing design. This showcases how the look can incorporate colour and metallic details! Bake My Day also incorporated metallic details in this neutral example of marbling on a cake.
We love our black cutlery and based on interest from you we can gather that lots of you do too! One of the main questions we get about this particular piece is how to incorporate it into a tablescape. Our black cutlery is truly unique and really sets a tablescape apart from many others but it can be hard to incorporate. We have put together a few gorgeous examples here of ways you can use it.
This moody shoot is a perfect example of how to incorporate this particular piece into a tablescape when you are looking to create deep romantic look. The elements included here are mostly neutral and dark. Neutral components have been very popular recently particularly when accompanied by greenery. This look incorporates those trends, adds an element of darkness but keeps it romantic.
We have seen a few examples of this beautiful style. The black cutlery looks gorgeous when paired with our sapphire goblets with elements of gold or copper.
The black cutlery looks gorgeous with copper and this look is the perfect example. If you are planning to incorporate copper or mixed metals, a popular trend we have noticed recently, check out black cutlery with it!
This look paired our popular marble charger plates with the black cutlery. What we like most about this particular look is that it brightens up the look and creates a nice contrast between the white marble and black cutlery.
Much like the marble look this shows a bright, light look with the black cutlery. This is the perfect example for how this particular piece can be included in light tablescape designs. Even if you are looking to have a light colour scheme, try it with the black to see what it’s like. We love how this combination creates a truly unique design that you don’t see very often.
It seems like Hawaiian theme and pineapples are everywhere these days. We got to be a small part of this fun bridal shower with our gold cutlery but we needed to share more of the details with you because it is just SO fun!!

There are so many times where we get to see some incredible work from other local wedding vendors in Calgary. So many times we see such incredible work on wedding cakes that have us dreaming all day. So here it is our top wedding cake inspiration photos.
The colour, texture, and creativity on this cake are completely unreal. We love the metallic copper and how realistic it looks. This watercolour look has been extremely popular and Bake My Day just does it so well.

This drip style is another cake trend that we have noticed. What we love most about this one is the texture and colour of the dripped icing. Mixed with the rich tones of berries and florals this is the perfect way to add colour into your desserts at your wedding.

We are pretty much just as obsessed with marble as everyone else is right now. The blue marbling on this cake is perfect and we love the addition of metallic gold detailing. This adds the perfect touch to an already beautiful cake.
Cake by Handmade Cake Company
This is the perfect example of beauty in simplicity. A perfectly white cake with different layer sizes and the addition of florals makes this a beautiful, simple feature. This style is perfect if you are looking to add something gorgeous to your wedding but want to make sure that the florals really stand out. Also Pretty Sweet makes a number of amazing things but don't just take our word for it. Head there and try the treats for yourself. We guarantee you will love them!

We absolutely could not write this post without including this adorable cat cake. Do we even need to explain why this is perfect? We didn't think so.

Dressing up your table can be as simple as adding a unique charger plate. This year simple table décor and designs have been very popular and one of the main ways to add a unique touch is adding a charger plate that will bring in other elements of your design. At Gathered we have a number of unique charger plates that we adore and think you will too.
These have been one of our most popular pieces and it is pretty easy to see why. These beautiful faux marble charger plates add a beautiful touch to so many different table designs. Below is one of our favourite looks that incorporates our marble charger plates. This year we have seen a lot of brides who are going simple with their decor designs mostly using greenery, white, and candlelight creating a simple romantic design. The design below (by Something Styled in Colorado) incorporates these components perfectly.

We have also seen a number of designs that have a different take on the current trend of simple elegance. The incorporation of metallics has been very popular and is the perfect way to incorporate elements of colour into these simple designs without going overboard. Copper charger plates are a great way to add a coloured element to your table design. The wedding featured below (designed by Hera Weddings and Events) perfectly incorporated these plates into the popular simple design.
Want to add a little more romance and colour in your tablescape? We recommend adding these floral charger plates. These can pull your own florals and colours into the tablescape and bring the feeling of a garden wedding into your design. Although very different from the last two ideas, these fit into today's trends of garden greens on your table and bring in subtle elements of colour.

It is pretty safe to say that we love coloured glassware. It can be tricky to incorporate colour into your event without going overboard but coloured glassware is the perfect way to add a pop to your table. We’ve put together some of our favourite looks and ideas to help you decide how to add coloured glassware into your design.
Match Your Theme
Sometimes you need to stick with what works and choose a coloured glassware that best matches your theme. This gorgeous look tosses in more pink romance with out blush goblets.
Bring in the Venue
A great way to really make your tablescape stand out is by mixing and matching your glassware. This backyard brunch did just that by adding sapphire goblets and copper mugs to the same design. We love the way these pull in numerous details like the rose gold cutlery, florals, and pillows!

This gorgeous modern marble inspiration came from Denver where we sent a few of our marble charger plates. Marble has been one of our favourite upcoming wedding trends and these plates add a gorgeous modern touch. Our marble charger plates are one of our most popular items and we can't wait to see how brides get creative with this piece in 2017.
Model Milk provided the perfect setting for this intimate Christmas Party. Our new glass pillar candle holders were featured along with a variety of our gold votives, gold cutlery, and glass charger plates.
This wedding inspiration went up a mountain to get these amazing photos. We cannot think of anything we would rather have as inspiration. This gorgeous tablescape brings together deep berry tones on light neutrals making it stand out against the gorgeous outdoor background.
This vibrant feature brings together gorgeous bright colours and a darkness that sets a romantic scene for this couple. We love how blush (one of our favourite colours) is used in this shoot in a completely unique way while still creating a gorgeous romantic feel.
